DeBenedet asked what would be the <br />problem with letting property owners locate signs closer to the <br />right-of-way vs. larger signs further away. DeBenedet asked if <br />the City should be reviewing these issues. <br /> <br />DeBenedet moved, Berry seconded to recommend that the staff study <br />the issue of parking lot, sign size and setback requirements. <br /> <br />Berry pointed out the problems with locating buildings in certain <br />areas of the City because they don't have proper address numbers <br />on them. <br /> <br />DeBenedet brought to the Commission's attention a article he read <br />pointing out that people can sue municipal officials if handicap <br />code requirement are not enforced. <br /> <br />Berry stated that handicap code is not well enforced and pointed <br />out that there are constant problems with misuse of handicap <br />spaces. <br /> <br />Goedeke asked for the status of the unsafe structure which he <br />pointed out to staff at the previous Planning commission meeting. <br /> <br />Jopke responded that staff has looked at the structure and is <br />working with the owner to bring it up to code or to have it <br />removed. <br /> <br />Berry asked if the attorney objecting to the easement vacation on <br />Belair circle at the previous Planning Commission meeting was <br />informed of the Planning Commissions action as requested by the <br />Commission. Jopke responded that Mr. Keel has responded to the <br />attorney. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />
