<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />page#15 <br /> <br />Wednesday, December 6, 1989 <br /> <br />accept some form of non-standard creative residential <br />development. <br /> <br />Berry stated the need to explore one level duplexes because there <br />would be a demand for that type of housing. <br /> <br />Lyons stated that other areas of this site should be reviewed and <br />that some form of duplexes or townhouses on the south end of the <br />site might be appropriate. <br /> <br />Johnson asked why the map showing ten acres along the east side <br />was drawn the way it was. <br /> <br />Waldron stated that it is not etched in stone, but is what has <br />been told to the City in general terms by Concordia. <br /> <br />wietecki asked if there have been any discussion concerning the <br />area adjacent to the intersection of Dale and B2 for such uses as <br />baseball fields. wietecki pointed out that that could open alot <br />more area of the site for development. <br /> <br />Waldron stated that the City may want to look at joint use of <br />recreational space on the site. <br /> <br />Johnson questioned if King of Kings Church could be considered in <br />the discussions. <br /> <br />Waldron stated that he believed that everybody should be brought <br />into the discussions. <br /> <br />Lyons pointed out that the vietnamese Temple has recently been <br />expanded. <br /> <br />Leonard that the City should take a comprehensive look at the <br />whole area. <br /> <br />Waldron agreed that the City staff would also like to take a <br />comprehensive look at the area. <br /> <br />Berry pointed out that soccer fields are needed in the City. <br />Dahlgren commented that space may be a problem for relocating <br />ball fields at the corner. Dahlgren added that j oint use of <br />facilities is an important element in the discussions and that he <br />was pleased to hear that the alternative forms of housing are a <br />possibility. Dahlgren pointed out that he believed that Z-lot <br />type development would be successful in the City and would work <br />on that site. Dahlgren questioned if a street connection to <br />Lovell should be explored. Leonard responded that speaking as an <br />
