Dahlgren summarized the proposed zoning ordinance <br />amendment related to cemeteries. <br /> <br />Dahlgren stated that Roselawn Cemetery owns a large portion of <br />undeveloped land in Roseville all of which is zoned R1. <br /> <br />Dahlgren stated that the proposal is to amend the city ordinance <br />requiring cemeteries to be a special use in an R-1 district. <br /> <br />Goedeke stated that he was called by a neighbor of the cemetery <br />stating that people litter this large forested area. Goedeke <br />supports this amendment. Goedeke added that the surrounding <br />citizens would favor of this amendment because it would require a <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and Berry seconded to recommend approval of this <br />amendment to the zoning ordinance as recommended by the legal <br />staff. <br /> <br />Robert questioned what uses are in an R-3 zoning and questioned <br />how the special use permit will work in this case. <br /> <br />Johnson questioned if Fiest Cemetery is exempt from this <br />ordinance. Dahlgren replied that he would be exempt from this <br />ordinance. <br />
