<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Page'15 <br /> <br />Wednesday, May 2, 1990 <br /> <br />Johnson stated that the decisions that are controversial and also <br />the ones where the recommendations differ from the Planning <br />Commissions are of the most importance to the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />DeBenedet brought in an excerpt from a newsletter from the state <br />board on handicapped accessibility. DeBenedet stated that it is <br />to remind design professionals to include handicapped <br />accessibility in their design plans. <br /> <br />DeBenedet stated that the Commission needs to suggest to staff to <br />make sure that all plans include proper handicapped <br />accessibility. DeBenedet added that a city may be sued by a <br />handicapped person if a building in that city does not have <br />proper handicapped accessibility. <br /> <br />Johnson stated that Steve Sarkozy should be notified of this <br />item. <br /> <br />Berry stated that the city is in gross violation of this <br />regulation. <br /> <br />Wietecki suggested that if the Planning Commission is going to <br />get alot more of these Special Use Permit applications then maybe <br />a checklist form should be submitted to the Planning Commission <br />to speed up the process. <br /> <br />Goedeke questioned who worked with the Olive Garden people on <br />this application. Jopke stated that they met with himself, <br />Dahlgren and Keel. <br /> <br />Keel stated that the use of brick was brought up to the <br />applicant. <br /> <br />Johnson questioned if the Planning Commission should change the <br />date of the work session with the Council concerning design <br />standards. <br /> <br />Johnson stated that those who can attend should on Monday, May 7, <br />1990 at 6:30 p.m. and discuss an additional date to meet with the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Adiournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 <br />p.m. <br />
