Thomas stated that she has never felt the need to make any recommendations. DeBenedet stated that Council sets the policy and it is important that the Council understand the recommendations sent to them by the Planning Commission. Johnson questioned if the liaison would be willing to submit a report to the Planning commission on the previous Council action. Thomas stated that she would be willing to submit a written report as long as the issues do not predate her tenure on the Council. DeBenedet stated that what the Planning commission is looking for is more guidance. Thomas questioned if the Planning Commission could address the Council in a memo. Berry stated that is important in a decision to know the reasons why people vote negatively. Wietecki suggested that the Council submit a four minute report to the Planning Commission on the outcomes of the previous meeting. Thomas questioned if the Planning Commission wants this item submitted as a written report or given orally at the meetings. DeBenedet stated that the purpose of this report is to inform the Planning Commission of the reasons why certain decisions where made. Thomas stated that she can appreciate more two-way communication between the Council and the Planning Commission. Berry summarized what liaisons have done in the past. Thomas stated that she is now aware of the Planning Commissions concerns on this issue and will bring this up at the Council meeting. Goedeke stated that the minutes of the Council and the Planning Commission differ immensely.
