ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
Wednesday November 7, 1990

Page 12

these issues.

MOTION

Roberts moved and DeBenedet seconded to continue this request to
give the applicant time to work with city staff on engineering
considerations.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

Berry, DeBenedet, Goedeke, Johnson,
Roberts, Stokes, wietecki

Nayes:

None

Other Business

Goedeke stated that an article concerning the condemnation
hearings relating to the Ramsey County Library stated that
Neilson was led to believe that there would be a rezoning.
Goedeke stated that he wanted the record to show that the
Planning Commission never discussed rezoning of that site.

Johnson stated that Goedeke should write a letter to the editor
of the paper stating that fact.

DeBenedet stated that Goedeke should look into the record first.

Jopke stated that there is a legal process going on right now
which has included depositions by staff members and Howard
Dahlgren.

Roberts stated that the newspaper shouldn't dictate the Planning
commission agenda and that a careful response should be in order.

Goedeke stated that he was concerned about the stairs off of the
ramp at Crossroads and the height of the ramp. Jopke responded
that a surveyor has been hired to look at sight lines. The wall
that Welsh put up is within 1 to 1 1/2 inches of plan except in
one area where it is four inches off. Welsh said they would
remedy the situation soon.

Shardlow presented the Interim Use Ordinance Amendments.

Mary Bakeman stated that she was worried that this ordinance
would allow developers to go around the zoning ordinance.

Shardlow stated that the ordinance does not allow nonconforming
uses, that the City can put conditions on all applicants, that it
allows neighborhood input into the process, and it does not give
developers vested rights.
