ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
September 11, 1991

Paget

10

Thomas moved and Harms seconded to recommend that the Council adopt
a moratorium on new sign variance applications until the new
ordinance is adopted.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

Goedeke, Harms, Thomas, Roberts,
Stokes, DeBenedet

Nayes:

None

Councilmember Johnson spoke to the Commission concerning the garage
variance on Transit Avenue. Johnson stated that the neighbor has
the right to expect that the City will protect setbacks and that it
would be an undue burden on them to force them to go to court to
protect setbacks. Johnson also pointed out that, in this
particular case, the property owner does have alternatives.

Due to the lateness of the hour, discussion concerning the sign
ordinance and concerning ordinance to protect residential as well
as non-residential property was continued until the regular October
meeting.

Adjournment

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 1:05 a.m.
