<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />September 11, 1991 <br /> <br />Paget <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Roberts moved and Harms seconded a motion to recommend approval of <br />George Wintz' request for a variance to the zoning ordinance at <br />2500 Walnut street with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That it be developed in accordance with the plans submitted. <br /> <br />2. That additional evergreen trees be provided along Walnut and <br />Terminal Road subject to City staff approval. <br /> <br />3. That a parking and striping plan be submitted for City staff <br />approval. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Goedeke, Harms, Thomas, Roberts, <br />Stokes, DeBenedet <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Discussion concerning proposed forestation control ordinance. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Bob Bierscheid discussed a proposed forestation ordinance with the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the use of native trees, consideration for <br />animal habitat, staff requirements to enforce the ordinance, the <br />decision making process, the need for public education, whether the <br />proposed ordinance would apply to County property, whether the <br />ordinance would cover lakeshore tree protection, the need to <br />address visibility problems in the right-of-way, what notification <br />requirements there were and what the role of the Planning <br />Commission would be in relation to the new ordinance. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />sign variance moratorium. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />stokes moved and Roberts seconded to recommend that the Council <br />consider a sign variance moratorium. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Roberts, Stokes <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />Goedeke, Harms, Thomas, DeBenedet <br /> <br />MOTION <br />
