<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />January 15, 1992 <br /> <br />Paget <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Shardlow reviewed the changes which have been made in the proposal <br />since the previous Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Issues discussed included the need to make the site and building <br />more handicapped accessible. The Commission concluded that Amoco <br />should be strongly encouraged to make handicap accessibility <br />improvements as soon as possible. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and Roberts seconded a motion to recommend approval <br />of Jade Inc. IS request for a special use permit at 2441 N. Fairview <br />Avenue based on the plans submitted. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Thomas, Roberts, Harms, Goedeke, <br />DeBenedet <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />Minor Variance process. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Shardlow summarized the research and findings which DSU and staff <br />conducted concerning lot sizes and variance type. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Issues discussed included the number of sideyard variances on lots <br />which meet minimum lot width requirements, reasons variances are <br />granted, the possibility of continuing the existing standards for <br />new construction but having a different standard for existing <br />structures, and the need to process more variances through the full <br />variance process with wider public notice requirements. <br /> <br />Shardlow will provide additional information to the Commission at <br />a future meeting concerning specific and/or prototypical variance <br />requests. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Sketch plan review for Busse property at 725 Larpenteur Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />
