<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />January 15, 1992 <br /> <br />Paget <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />Shardlow outlined the purpose of sketch plan review and highlighted <br />the proposed townhouse project. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Issues discussed included the need for additional guest parking, <br />inadequacy of green space, the number of units and lot coverage, <br />the need to protect and enhance the wetland/pond on the site, the <br />type of units proposed, the type of people who would be purchasing <br />the units, whether construction would be phased, impact of the <br />development on the adjacent residential area and zoning/ <br />comprehensive plan designation inconsistencies. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission meeting recessed at 8:39 <br /> <br />The Planning Commission meeting reconvened at 8:44 <br /> <br />Discussion concerning ordinances relating to the protection of <br />residential as well as non-residential property and property <br />standards, etc. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Shardlow reviewed the major provisions of the Maplewood ordinance. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Issues discussed included the need to set standards for maintenance <br />of rental properties, the need to have periodic licensing and <br />inspection of rental units including single family dwellings to <br />protect existing property values. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and Harms seconded a motion to direct staff to <br />prepare a specific ordinance based on the Maplewood ordinance with <br />inspection of rental units included with varying inspection for <br />different unit types and condition. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Ayes: rhomas, Roberts, Harms, Goedeke, <br /> DeBenedet <br /> Nayes: None <br />Sign Ordinance. <br />Presentation <br />Shardlow presented possible revisions to various provisions of the <br />
