<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 9, 1993 <br /> <br />Pagel <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />Planning Files 2561 <br /> <br />Noland Family Trust request for a special use permit at 3114 <br />Lexington Avenue North. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Falk explained that the applicant has asked that this item be <br />continued until July 14, 1993. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Roberts moved and Thomas seconded a motion to continue Noland <br />Family Trust's request for a special use permit at 3114 Lexington <br />Avenue North until the July 14, 1993 Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Wall, Sandstrom, Roberts, Thomas, <br />Harms, Wietecki <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Planning Files 2570 <br /> <br />Review of the sale of Bruce Russell Park and the acquisition of the <br />Lexington School site at Lexington Avenue and W. County Road B for <br />consistency with the comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Bell highlighted the role of the Planning Commission and Jopke <br />highlighted the issues and staff findings relating to this project. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Chairperson Wietecki explained that consideration of this matter <br />would be split. The Commission would first consider the narrow <br />issue of consistency with the City's comprehensive plan and then <br />the Commission would take testimony on broader issues to determine <br />if the Commission would make additional recommendations to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />citizens <br /> <br />Dave Bishop, representing Roseville Lutheran Church, pointed out <br />that at the time the comprehensive plan was developed, no one <br />anticipated any other land use other than school, church, and park <br />for the affected parcels. Mr. Bishop indicated that the church <br />participated in and supports the vista 2000 efforts of the <br />community and supports the staff recommendations and findings on <br />this matter. <br /> <br />Mary Bakeman, 1178 W. County Road B, stated that the Commission has <br />a role beyond just reviewing the land use designations for the <br />
