<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />July 14, 1993 <br /> <br />Page# <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Abstain: Wall <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recessed at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reconvened at 9:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Wietecki discussed the interpretation of a conflict of interest <br />with the Commission. <br /> <br />Other Business <br /> <br />Sketch plan review for Good Value Homes - Highway 36 and Lexington <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Falk explained the PUD process, the benefits of the sketch plan <br />review, and highlighted Good Value Home's proposal. <br /> <br />John Peterson, representing Good Value Homes, discussed the history <br />of Good Value Homes, the price range of the units proposed, <br />density, design of the units, building materials, square footage, <br />and neighborhood meetings proposed. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Issues discussed included density, lack of green space, design of <br />the buildings, screening from adjacent properties, traffic flow, <br />ponding, parking, snow storage, park area, creativity in layout, <br />elevations, and roof line views from neighbors. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Ordinance amendment to allow banks and financial institutions in B- <br />1 zoning districts. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Jopke highlighted the requested ordinance amendment, <br />analysis, and the specific site in question. <br /> <br />staff <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Issues discussed included traffic, what is presently allowed in the <br />B-1 zoning district, and trip generation reports. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Wietecki moved and Thomas seconded a motion to recommend denial of <br />an ordinance amendment to allow banks and financial institutions as <br />permitted uses in the B-1 zoning districts. <br />
