Public Hearings. <br /> <br />(a) Planning File 2619 <br /> <br />Robert Levine!Palisades Limited Partnership request for vacation of right-of-way <br />at 535,550,565,570 Sandhurst Drive West. Chairperson Wietecki opened the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />City Planner Mike Falk, provided a background report dated December 9, 1993, <br />in which he recommended approval of easement vacations at 535, 550, 565, and <br />570 Sandhurst Drive, subject to the owners entering into an agreement wherein <br />the owner agrees to pay any added cost of excavation costs by granting of a <br />vacation of a portion of the sanitary sewer easement. <br /> <br />Member Thomas asked for clarification regarding size, location, age, and <br />number of breaks in the sewer line. She expressed concern about the timeline <br />and ability of the city to dig trenches in an emergency within building shoring <br />areas. City Engineer Lon Aune explained the timing and shoring procedure <br />noting that the developer is responsible for the added costs. <br /> <br />A representative of Mr. Levine was present, but had no comment. <br /> <br />No Citizens Appeared. <br /> <br />Chairperson Wietecki closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Member Sandstrom moved seconded by member Rengel to <br />recommend approval of the easement vacations as per the staff report dated <br />12/9/93. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: Sandstrom, Rengel, Thomas, Wall, Wietecki <br /> <br />Nayes: None <br />
