<br />Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />April 13, 1994 <br /> <br />the shared parking will reach peaks at different times during the day based on <br />the uses of the buildings. Vogel stated that the development must fimction <br />with a traffic access into the southeast corner as an "in only" access. Vogel <br />explained that the trash containment areas will be the same materials as the <br />buildings and the landscaping will include more evergreens. The lighting will <br />be of the same light source as the Byerly's lights and snow storage will be <br />done off-site, <br /> <br />Member Thomas asked for clarification regarding rooftop screening. Mr. <br />V ogel explained that rooftops will be screened by use of a 2 1/2 foot, parapet <br />wall around all buildings where equipment is placed on the roof. <br /> <br />David Greening explained the use of the outlots. Member Sandstrom asked <br />how the city could guarantee that the parcels would not end up tax forfeited. <br />Greening stated that the tax forfeiture would probably reduce the easement <br />rights of the adjoining properties. He suggested combining outlot B with Lot <br />3. <br /> <br />Chairman Roberts asked if the sidewalk along the east side of Lincoln Drive. <br />Rick Jopke explained that sidewalks are required on commercial/industrial <br />redevelopments sites by ordinance. <br /> <br />Chainnan Roberts asked for clarification regarding parking spaces and shared <br />parking. <br /> <br />Member Wall asked for clarification regarding the hours of operation. Jerry <br />Slawik responded that the restaurant will be open until 1 a.m. The video <br />store until midnight and other stores will open and shut at various hours. <br /> <br />The staff was asked to follow up on the design elements that must be included <br />based on the Twin Lakes design standards, and on the bank's air conditioning <br />units at ground level, the light sources and color of the parking lights, the <br />sidewalk along Lincoln Drive, and the entrance at the southeast corner of the <br />restaurant lot. <br /> <br />13 <br />
