He also asked if the project
would continue to be a senior project after the 15-year federal commitment.

Jim Ballentine, 1883 West Ryan, stated the project was a good opportunity for senior
residences in the neighborhood and near to support services. It would allow residents to
share in and grow old in Roseville.

Tom Galush, 1864 Eldridge Avenue, stated that he agreed with Mr. Cunningham's
opposition to the project, noting that the project was squeezed on the site and that green
space was inadequate. He also was concerned about the school site being reduced, and
the number of retaining walls and ponds utilized could be a safety hazard to children in the
area. He expressed opposition to in-wall air conditioning units as aesthetically unpleasing.
He stated that, on Sundays, the Corpus Cristi Church parking area is already over-
capacity. He asked if the number of units already in Roseville was necessary, and whether
this additional senior housing site was required.

Dorothy Manke, no address given, stated that all seniors cannot afford Eagle Crest or
Rosewood Estates, and that Roseville needs affordable housing for its seniors.

Diane Madden, 1876 Gluek Lane, stated she was opposed to the project because the
density was too high and asked how this project would fit into the City's Comprehensive
Plan.

Resident, 1841 Eldridge Avenue, stated he was opposed to the project as per the
opposition listed by Mr. Cunningham. He is also opposed to the project because it would
add traffic, decrease safety, and increase noise. He stated this was not a quiet, peaceful
site for retirement.

Tom Vella, 1994 Fairview, stated he supported the project and was looking for a senior
site in Roseville for relatives. He stated the traffic was not bad, and there is a need for
affordable senior housing in the community.

There was no further public comment.

Chairman Keith Wietecki closed the public hearing and read into the record the letters
ITom Borden and Sizer opposing the project.

6
