8.

(b)

Establishment of a Special Meeting of the Planning Commission for October 4,
1994, at 7:00 p.m. with the Park and Recreation Committee at the Roseville
Community Center.

The Commission agreed to hold a special meeting on October 4, 1994, to discuss general park
planning issues and discuss the formation of a pathway planning committee with the Park and
Recreation Commission.

8.

(c)

Listing of projects and reviews for the next meeting (verbal report)

Michael Falk provided a verbal report in which he listed projects which will be reviewed
future meetings. Commission members asked that the Planning Commission be updated on
a regular basis as to what stage each project is in. Members also asked that reports utilized
during a normal meeting be improved with video or pictures which illustrate the exteriors of
the buildings and sites being considered.

Commission members asked the staff to provide more detail on water ponding and the need
for regional ponds and asked if a storm water tour could be arranged between Public Works
and the Planning Staff to show the Planning Commission what the ponding looks like today
and to develop standards for maintenance and screening of ponds.

Members Harms asked if the staff would consider providing an "office hours report" in which
the staff explains projects that are being discussed informally prior to a formal application.
The staff will determine how best it get the information to the Commission.

The Planning Commission also reviewed the actions taken by the City Council to adopt the
City's Comprehensive Plan. Chairman Kieth Wietecki explained the process and the amount
of detail that the City Council reviewed during their September 12, 1994, meeting. The
Commission discussed the Council's approval of medium and higher density projects and
requested the staff to prepare a tour of high density projects for later in the year. The
Commission also asked that a joint meeting be established between the Planning Commission
and the City Council with a fixed agenda of items including the medium and high density
issues for some time later in the year.

9. ADJOURNMENT:

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.

10
