<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8,1995 <br /> <br />Member Harms asked how many parking spaces are needed? (5 spaces/l00 sq.ft.) <br />Will "test driving" of the vehicles create a traffic problem? <br /> <br />There was no further public comment. Chairman Wietecki closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Member Wall asked for a definition of "night watchman". He asked for staff and <br />city attorney to review other ordinances, case law, the origins of the city <br />ordinance, and prepare a definition and submit this to the City Council for a <br />change in ordinance. <br /> <br />Member Wall stated that a special use permit could be granted with conditions, <br />but asked for further staff input. <br /> <br />Member Thomas asked for other areas with auto sales/leasing abutting R -1 zones. <br />Member Thomas asked the staff if this is a good location for mixed use <br />development? What are the trends in other communities regarding this type of <br />development? <br /> <br />Chairman Wietecki stated that a special use permit request has been requested. <br />The staff may need time to review the 6 criteria, and develop conditions that <br />mitigate the use. <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />Member Harms moved and Member Thomas seconded, to continue the <br />application for a special use permit for leasing and rental of automobiles to <br />allow the staff time to review 6 criteria and 6 conditions to the March 8, <br />1995 meeting. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Wall, Harms, Rengel, Thomas, Sandstrom, Wietecki <br /> <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />Chairman Wietecki moved and Member Harms seconded, to have the staff <br />and attorney review other ordinances, case law, the origins of the night <br />watchman provisions in the ordinance, and to prepare a definition of night <br />watchman and night watchman's residence and submit this to the City <br />Council for a change in the City Code. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Wall, Harms, Rengel, Thomas, Sandstrom, Wietecki <br /> <br />16 <br />
