CITY OF ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01/08/97 <br />A RESOLUTION OF ENDORSING THE CONCEPT OF THE <br />LARPENTEUR AVENUE DESIGN PLAN, DESIGN DETAILS AND LAND <br />USE TO CITY OF ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Roseville Planning Commission has reviewed the concept plans <br />for the LARPENTEUR Avenue Corridor - known as the "Avenue of the Flowers", and <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Roseville Planning Commission finds that this design concept sets forth a <br />direction for further urban design, land use and parking redesign, and street and <br />pathway details, and provides valuable insight to the city planning program for the <br />corridor on such issues as the Vista 2000 report, environmental quality management <br />issues, the community and neighborhood preservation, and mixed use concepts, and <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the LARPENTEUR Avenue Design study committee and Ramsey County's <br />highway department have worked hard to develop a concept acceptable to property <br />owners and cities abutting the Avenue, with construction slated to occur in 1998, and <br />WHEREAS, <br /> further studies are necessary to complete the design and financing and <br />impact of the improvements on abutting businesses, and <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the Roseville Planning Commission annually affirms items that are to be <br />placed in the Roseville Comprehensive Plan, Implementation Section, now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED, <br /> the Planning Commission hereby places the LARPENTEUR <br />Avenue Corridor Design Concept in the Implementation Section of the Comprehensive <br />Plan for further study and action during 1997 and 1998 and recommends the same of <br />the City Council. <br />Adopted this, the 8th day of January, 1997 <br />Keith Wietecki, Chairman <br />ATTEST: <br />Dennis Welsch, Community Development Director <br />3 <br />
