Motion <br />: Member Harms moved, seconded by Member Wilke, to recommend <br />approval of vacation of the utility and drainage easement as per staff <br />recommendation. <br />The motion carried 6-0. <br />6e.Planning File 2867. <br />Twin Lakes Parkway Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment. The Twin Lakes EAW has been completed; the City <br />Council, at the August 11th meeting, requested Planning Commission <br />consideration of the Twin Lakes parkway location and consequent <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment which would change the location of the <br />proposed Parkway within the Twin Lakes Business Park lying west of <br />Cleveland Avenue, east of Fairview Avenue, north of County Road C, and <br />south of County Road C2, allowing for future alignment with the 35W <br />ramp at Cleveland Avenue. <br />Chairperson Wietecki opened the hearing and requested a project background <br />summary from Dennis Welsch, Community Development Director. <br />There being no questions or public comments, Chairperson Wietecki closed the <br />public hearing. <br />Motion: <br /> Member Wietecki moved, seconded by Member Harms, to recommend <br />adoption of the Twin Lakes Parkway Comprehensive Plan Amendment in <br />accordance with staff recommendation; with caution to city for redevelopment <br />timing of the site and understanding of hardship this might provide on <br />businesses and property owners in the area. <br />The motion carried 6-0. <br />INFORMATION, REPORTS AND OTHER BUSINESS (Verbal Reports) <br />Dennis Welsch, Community Development Director, updated the Members on the <br />Cornerstone process; the Rambler Design Program; and, discussed current Home <br />Occupation Regulations. <br />Rick Jopke, Assistant Community Development Director, announced his resignation <br />and thanked the Commission for its support over the years. <br />ADJOURN <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:52 p.m. <br />J:\PATM\WP51CH\PCMINUTE\97-09-10.MIN <br />5 <br />
