connected hallway between the restaurant and office; trash enclosure will be <br />constructed at northwest corner of building; lack of screening/landscaping from <br />apartment building. <br />Delores Ringwall, 1690 Highway 36, Rosewood Village expressed concern <br />about noise, traffic, garbage collection, fast food odor, and possibility of <br />depreciated value of surrounding properties. <br />Maurice Goldman, Har Mar Apartments, expressed opposition to another fast <br />food restaurant (generates debris, open late hours, lack of fencing and parking). <br />Dan Goldman, Manager, Har Mar Apartments: concerns with bright lights of <br />signs; proud of low crime rate of city; supports office building useage. <br />Planning Commission members expressed concerns about: missing information <br />from site plan(improvements including landscaping and curbs); possible need of <br />variance from sign standards; general concerns about parking, noise, odors, <br />traffic. <br />There being no further comments, Chair Wietecki closed the hearing. <br />Motion: <br /> Member Mulder moved, seconded by Member Wilke, to table the <br />request for a conditional use permit to allow the conversion of existing <br />space and the operation of a take-out/self-service restaurant in a B-3, General <br />Business District (Blimpie’s restaurant and office space at 2215 Snelling Ave. <br />No.) to the Planning Commission meeting of October 8, 1997, to clarify parking, <br />placement of trash enclosures, drawings of signage - all four views, feasibility of <br />curb and gutter, traffic study from past Blimpies proposals, interior flow of <br />building and screening, and request of City Council for extension of the review <br />period for an additional 60 days. <br />The motion carried 6-0. <br />6d.Planning File 2947. <br /> Request for a vacation of a 20 foot drainage and <br />utility easement dedicated on the plat of Centre Pointe Business Park <br />lying adjacent to the common boundary line of Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, <br />Centre Pointe Business Park, and extending northeasterly across said Lot <br />1 to its intersection with the east line of said lot. <br />Chairperson Wietecki opened the hearing and requested a project background <br />summary. Rick Jopke, Assistant Community Development Director, <br />described the request to vacate a portion of the easement and relocate it to the <br />north. <br />There being no questions or public comments, Chairperson Wietecki closed the <br />public hearing. <br />4 <br />
