6c.Planning File 3023. <br /> The City of Roseville is proposing text amendments to <br />Section 1004.01A of the City Code regarding the number, size, location, <br />height and appearance of accessory buildings in residential zoning districts. <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested Kim Lee to summarize the <br />ordinance proposal as provided in the October 14,1998 staff report. Kim Lee <br />highlighted the changes in the proposed ordinance. <br />MemberMulder asked if the 40% rear yard coverage applies only to the one <br />accessory building (yes). A normal tool shed (up to 120 sf) would be <br />excluded from the 40% coverage. The language should be clarified. <br />Member Cunningham asked if the definition of the required rear yard or <br />reference should be made or placed in a handout. Member Olson asked for <br />details regarding additional setbacks. <br />MemberKlausing stated that paragraph #10 should read that “corrugated <br />siding and corrugated roofs are prohibited.” <br />There being no public comment, Chair Harms closed the hearing. <br />Motion: <br /> Member Mulder moved, seconded by Member Rhody, to <br />recommend approval of An Ordinance Amending Section 1004.01A of the <br />Roseville City Code, based on the findings outlined in the report of October <br />14, 1998. <br />On a roll call vote: <br />Ayes: 7, Harms, Cunningham, Klausing, Olson, Mulder,Rhody,Wilke <br />Nays: 0, None <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />6d.Planning File 3047. <br /> The City of Roseville is proposing text amendments to <br />the City Code regarding minor variances and creating standards for <br />issuance of a setback permit. <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested Kim Lee to provide a <br />summary of the ordinance proposed in the staff report dated October 14, <br />1998. <br />MemberMulder asked that the clarification be made regarding #11 – who <br />actually approves the administrative decision (the Community Development <br />Director or the Development Review Committee). The staff will consult with <br />the City Attorney and correct this in the draft. <br />MemberKlausing asked that the appeal and variance procedure be clarified. <br />Is it necessary to hold a hearing at the Planning Commission before Council <br />11 <br />
