Call to Order <br /> <br />Chair Craig Klausing called the April 12, 2000 regular meeting of the City of Roseville Planning Commission to order at <br />6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call and Introduction <br /> <br />Present: Chair Craig Klausing, Ed Cunningham, Doug Wilke, Peggy Egli, Janet Olson, James Mulder, John Rhody <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff present: Joel Jamnik, Deb Bloom, Thomas Paschke, Dennis Welsch <br /> <br />Council: Council Member Barb Mastel <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion: Member Wilke moved, seconded by Member Egli, to approve the minutes of the March 8, 2000 meeting of the <br />Planning Commission, with the following amendments: Member Olson noted page 6, line 42, motion was made by <br />Member Mulder. <br /> <br />Ayes: Klausing, Cunningham, Wilke, Egli, Mulder, Olson, Rhody <br /> <br />Carried: 7-0 <br /> <br />4. Communications from the Public <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />G. Public Hearings <br /> <br />Ga. Planning File 3199: Kraus-Anderson realty is requesting CONCEPT PUD approval to rezone the property <br />encompassing Hamline Center from SC, Shopping Center District to B-PUD, Business Planned Unit Development to allow <br />uses such as schools, churches, lawful gambling, retail and office, within the existing structure. Hamline Center is located <br />at 2797 - 2833 Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />Chair Klausing opened the hearing and requested Community Development Director Dennis Welsch to provide a <br />summary of the written staff and recommendation dated April 12, 2000 <br /> <br />Ken Vinje, Kraus-Anderson, provided a history of the site and the vacancies in the center. He explained the current <br />proposals, with non-traditional uses. There are significant investments needed ($1.2 million). The center will be a <br />neighborhood center; a conglomerate of uses to serve the neighborhood. <br /> <br />The development time frame was described; construction is to begin in June for occupancy in fall. There are portions of <br />the center which are sprinklered. <br />
