<br />Carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Gd. Planning File 3190. A request by the City of Roseville to amend Section 1009 (Sign Regulations) and 1014 <br />(Administration) of the Roseville Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Chair Klausing opened the hearing and requested Joel Jamnik to explain the proposed ordinance. He explained the <br />history of the ordinance and gave examples of the ordinance and court directives.. <br /> <br />Member Olson asked for details on permit requirements. <br /> <br />No public comment was offered and Chair Klausing closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion. Member Mulder moved, Member Rhody seconded, to recommend approval of the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />Carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Member Egli and Member Cunningham found the existing sign ordinance to be intrusive and should be reviewed at a <br />future time. <br /> <br />8. Information, Reports and Other Business <br /> <br />8a. Land Use Planning Workshops. Commission members reminded to register if interested. <br /> <br />8b. North Metro 1-35W Coalition Informational Seminar Report <br /> <br />Member Wilke asked what the results so far have been. (Inventory and assessments for transportation, demography for <br />use by city, school with build-out study due in August). <br /> <br />8c. By-Laws Subcommittee Report <br /> <br />Member Egli reported on "graceful exits". Member Egli also referred to her fax, submitted to the Members, referring to <br />Chapter 201 of the City Code relating to the Planning Commission, as well as the fact that there is currently no section <br />233 in the Code. <br /> <br />Member Rhody explained the "absences requirement", noting that no Commissioner has missed six meetings. Member <br />Mulder concurred with the proposal. Chair Klausing suggested absence from four meetings and an approved absence <br />statement should be included. Chair Klausing asked why only measure on a calendar year. Chair Klausing asked that an <br />attendance role be prepared to alert the Commissioners. <br /> <br />Motion. Member Rhody moved, Member Egli seconded, to adopt the amendment language, subject to approval of the <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />Carried 7-0. <br /> <br />8d. Sensible Land Use Coalition Report. <br /> <br />Meeting registration for April 26 (7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.) Coalition meeting can be made through staff. Contact Pat <br />Morrison for details. <br /> <br />At the next meeting, a report on the Dale Street trail will be presented by Deb Bloom. <br /> <br />9. Adjourn.
