Call to Order <br /> <br />Chair Craig Klausing called the May 10, 2000 regular meeting of the City of Roseville Planning Commission to order at <br />6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call and Introduction <br /> <br />Present: Chair Craig Klausing, Ed Cunningham, Doug Wilke, Peggy Egli, Janet Olson, James Mulder, John Rhody <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Staff present: Deb Bloom, Thomas Paschke, Dennis Welsch <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion: Member Cunningham moved, seconded by Member Wilke, to approve the minutes of the April 12, 2000 meeting <br />of the Planning Commission, with the following amendments: page 3, line 5, "neighbors were not consulted", page 3, line <br />21, "substantive", not "substructure". <br /> <br />Ayes: 7 <br /> <br />Nays: 0 <br /> <br />4. Communications from the Public <br /> <br />Chair Klausing noted Member Janet Olson will be recognized by the Gavel Club for her volunteer work and leadership <br />contributions in Roseville. Amongst her many activities Janet has worked for several years to preserve open space in <br />Roseville. <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />G. Public Hearings <br /> <br />Ga. Planning File 3207: A request by U.S. West Wireless for a Conditional Use Permit to install a monopole, for the <br />purpose of providing PCS services, in the rear yard area of the Countryside Restaurant. The subject property is located at <br />2851 Snelling Avenue North. <br /> <br />Chair Klausing opened the hearing and requested the City Planner Thomas Paschke to provide a verbal summary of the <br />project report dated May 10, 2000. He explained requirements of the City Code for commercial antennas. The site is <br />zoned B-2. The proposed monopole replaces an existing light pole. He displayed a photo graphic rendering of the pole. <br /> <br />Staff determined that the pole meets criteria in the Code and recommended approval. <br /> <br />Chair Klausing asked for the specific height of the pole (67'-68') with the antenna. What are the violation criteria? (blow <br />down, accidental damage). <br /> <br />Member Egli asked what the City policy is for towers. Council direction was discussed. <br />
