Call to Order <br /> <br />Chair Klausing called the regular meeting of the City of Roseville Planning Commission to order at 6:30 p.m. in the City <br />Council Chambers <br /> <br />2. Roll Call and Introduction <br /> <br />Present: Chair Craig Klausing, Peggy Egli, Janet Olson, Ed Cunningham, Doug Wilke <br /> <br />Absent: John Rhody, Jim Mulder <br /> <br />Staff present: Dennis Welsch, Deb Bloom, Thomas Paschke <br /> <br />Council present: Barb Mastel <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion: Member Klausing moved, seconded by Member Cunningham, to approve the minutes of the July 12, 2000 <br />meeting of the Planning Commission as submitted. <br /> <br />Ayes: Cunningham, Wilke, Egli, Klausing, Olson. <br /> <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Carried 5-0. <br /> <br />4. Communications from the Public <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />G. Public Hearings, Continued <br /> <br />Ga. Planning File 3228: Request by Ralph Jenson for a Variance to construct a driveway within the required five-foot yard <br />setback on property located at 201 McCarron Street. <br /> <br />Chair Klausing re-opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke to provide a verbal summary of the <br />project report dated August 09, 2000. <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke noted that a lot survey was completed and explained the east and west setbacks. He noted that the <br />Planning Commission asked for clarification on "access" as a unique physical hardship. The City Attorney had reviewed <br />this and concurred that "access" was a unique hardship. He explained the driveway drainage design that carried water <br />away from the west property line. <br /> <br />Chair Klausing asked why bollards where not in the staff recommendation. The staff had reviewed this with the applicants <br />and they (bollards) could be included as part of the building permit. <br />
