The well must be capped prior to issuance of a building permit. <br />Thomas Paschke said a condition relating to additional curbing, the fence and trees for preservation can be added to the <br />PUD after staff review and design. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Klausing moved, second by Member Cunningham, to recommend approval of the combined General <br />Concept and Final Development Plan of the Planned Unit Development and recommended approval of the "Draft" <br />Planned Unit Development between the City and McKinley Companies stipulating the terms and conditions of the <br />development of the .56 acre parcel located at 2330 Lexington Avenue, with the condition that there be further review of <br />the curb cut, trees, fences only on the east side (the Commission suggested a mix of vegetation and fences). <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br /> <br />Nays: 0 <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />c. Planning File 3283: A request by Ryan Companies to amend the Centre Pointe Planned Unit Development for the <br />allowance of an additional 180,000 square feet of office building floor area and consideration of a voluntary <br />Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) specific to the Veritas site. <br /> <br />Chairman Craig Klausing opened the public hearing and requested Community Development Director Dennis Welsch to <br />provide a verbal summary of the staff report dated January 10, 2001. <br /> <br />Dennis Welsch presented the background and a series of diagrams explaining the impacts. <br /> <br />Dave Hohn, Veritas Senior Manager, explained the Veritas business and growth concepts for "continuously available <br />software", focusing on large corporate customers. The company partners with (but does not manufacture) large <br />international manufacturers. Veritas had 5,000 employees in 2000 and will have 7,500 in 2002 worldwide. Currently <br />Veritas has over 2 million s.t. being developed worldwide. <br /> <br />Currently there are 150 employees, with 75 more engineers to be hired, with 180 sales and tech support by the end of <br />
