This would be more proactive work by the owners. Evergreens <br />should be used to landscape the edges. This is a great start. Member Cunningham concurred; he pointed out the "Park" <br />was there first. This site should be improved, beautified with vegetation and berming. He agreed with Chair Rhody that the <br />owners should meet with and plan with the residents. He suggested studying the cost of increased parking, with fewer <br />RVs. Member Rhody encouraged innovation. <br /> <br />Chair Rhody supports owner and resident planning. <br /> <br />Motion #1: Member Rhody moved, second by Member Mulder, to recommend approval of zoning amendment from the <br />existing "B-3" (General Business) and "R-2" (Two Family) zoning districts to a mixed use residential planned unit <br />development (R-PUD) with an underlying zoning of R-8 (Mobile Home Park) which allows a mix of manufactured housing, <br />traditional housing, and limited seasonal recreational vehicle parking and accessory uses within the (9.1 acre) property <br />known as the Roseville Mobile Home Park located at 2599 Lexington Avenue based on the findings outlined in Section <br />6.0 of the project report. <br /> <br />Ayes: Rhody, Mulder, Olson, Cunningham, Wilke <br /> <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Motion #2: Member Rhody moved, second by Member Wilke, to recommend approval of the General Concept <br />Development Plan that establishes design standards and development parameters under which the Roseville Mobile <br />Home Park must develop or redevelop on the 9.1 acre parcel, located at 2599 Lexington Avenue, as generally described <br />in this report (dated May 9,2001) as outlined in the draft ordinance. <br /> <br />It is understood that the effective date of such a planned unit development will not occur until after the application <br />submission and final approval of the planned unit development agreement and publication of the PUD ordinance.
