<br />Motion: Member Peper moved, seconded by Member Bakeman, to recommend <br />approval of a 5 foot, 2 inch side yard variance to Section 1005.01 A2 (Side Yard Setback) of the Roseville City <br />Code for Vicorp Restaurant Inc., to allow a 4 foot, 10 inch side yard setback for construction of a 5 foot by 15 foot <br />(75 sq. ft.) uni-sex restroom in compliance with Minnesota State Accessibility Code at 1881 Highway 36 West <br />based on the findings in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated August 6, 2003. <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br />Nay: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />h. Planning File 3508: Request by James and Marian Korf for a variance to Section 1 004.01AG (Maximum <br />Total Surface Area) and 1004.01 E (Dwelling Dimensions - Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code to <br />allow the installation of a new porch on the front (south) and side (west) of their home at 1407 Burke <br />Avenue W. <br /> <br />Chairman Jim Mulder opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke to provide a verbal <br />summary of the staff written report dated August 6, 2003. <br /> <br />Mr. Paschke indicated that Marian and James Korf, 1047 Burke Avenue, were seeking approval of a variance to <br />Section 1004.01 AG (Maximum Total Surface Area) and 1004.01 E (Exception) of the Roseville City Code to allow <br />the construction of a porch on to the front (south) and side (west) of their home. <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke advised that based on the information provided and the findings in Section 5 of the project report <br />dated August 6, 2003, the Planning staff recommends approval of a 575 square foot (5%) variance to Section <br />1004.01 A6 and a 7 foot 6 inch variance to Section 1004.01 E of the Roseville City Code for Marian and James Korf <br />to allow the construction of a front and side porch on to their home at 1047 Burke Avenue, subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />a. The parcel being limited to an impervious coverage maximum of 3,577 square feet or 35%. <br />b. The porch addition being limited to the size indicated on the submitted plans, including being limited to a 7 foot 6 <br />inch extension on the front (south) of the home and a 5 foot 4 inch extension one the side (west) on the home. <br />c. Gutters and downspouts must be installed along the eves of the porch to direct runoff into the front and side yard <br />of the parcel. <br />d. The review and approval of a building permit must be consistent with the approved plans and variances. <br /> <br />There were no comments from the applicant. Information, Reports & Other Business (Verbal Reports): <br />a. Nathan Bouvet was introduced by City Planner Thomas Paschke. The Planning Commission welcomed Nathan. <br /> <br />b. Chair Mulder asked if Twin Lakes developers would return with a new sketch plan. (The Commission did express a <br />need for a status update in the fall). Thomas Paschke explained the staff will request the developer return, but not <br />deal with minute details. <br /> <br />8. Adjourn: The regular meeting was adjourned at 10:20 p.m. <br />
