<br />Member Boerigter asked if the whole site should be housing. Michael Noonan explained issues with entire <br />residential development. Housing of quality needs amenity value. Housing would be higher density but lower value <br />rental housing. <br /> <br />Member Boerigter is concerned about Option 2, the jogged Parkway. Is the park the focus, or is it the buffer to <br />existing residential? <br /> <br />Chair Mulder asked if there will be multiple design themes in neighborhoods (Yes). <br /> <br />No further comment was offered. <br /> <br />b. Beyond Basics Planning Seminars (Member Bakeman) <br /> <br />Member Bakeman provided a review of the last Planning Seminar and distributed copies of Seminar packets. <br /> <br />c. Second Quarter Community Development Report (Dennis Welsch) <br /> <br />Dennis Welsch reviewed the Quarterly Report, noting revenues are down for 2004. <br /> <br />d. Proposed 2005 Community Development Budget (Dennis Welsch) <br /> <br />Dennis Welsch provided copies of the budget for the Community Development Department. No further action is <br />required. The Council will review this on August 23rd. <br /> <br />e. August 23 Housing Summit - City Council & HRA (Dennis Welsch) <br /> <br />Dennis Welsch invited the Planning Commission to attend the "Housing Summit" on August 23 at the Cable <br />System offices, 934 Woodhill. <br /> <br />7.
