Call to Order <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Mulder called the regular meeting of the City of Roseville Planning Commission to order at 6:30 p.m., in <br />the City Council Chambers. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call <br /> <br />Present: Mulder, Ipsen, Traynor, Bakeman, Peper, Duncan, Stone <br />Absent: <br />Staff present: Dennis Welsch, Thomas Paschke, Deb Bloom <br />Council present: None <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion: Member Traynor moved, seconded by Member Bakeman, to approve the minutes of the April 2, 2003 <br />meeting of the Planning Commission, with the following corrections: page 2, line 28, "explained that there are..."; <br />page 2, line 30, "A site lighting plan...". <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />4. Communications from the Public <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda: (The Planning Commission may decide upon the issues listed in the Consent Agenda with one motion, <br />without further discussion.) <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />6. Hearings <br />a. Planning File 3464: Request by Roland Gisvold, 970 Transit Avenue, for an 18 foot Variance to Section <br />1004.02D5 (Yard Requirements - Front Yard Setback) to allow construction of a 22 foot deep by 20 foot <br />wide attached garage addition on to the home. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Mulder opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke provide a summary of the <br />project report dated May 7,2003. <br /> <br />Mr. Paschke indicated that Roland Gisvold, 970 Transit Avenue, submitted an application seeking approval of a <br />variance to construct a 20 foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. ft.) attached garage addition on to the north side of <br />his home. The proposed addition would encroach 15.5 feet into the front yard requiring a variance to Section <br />1 004.02D5 - Dwelling Dimensions - Front Yard Setback, and be 14.5 feet from the right-of-way line requiring a <br />variance from Section 602.02, Parking on Boulevard Prohibited. Thomas Paschke illustrated the setbacks with <br />diagrams and pictures. <br />
