<br />City of Roseville - Planning Commission Agenda for January 5, 2005 <br /> <br />Page 3 of3 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Dennis Welsch reviewed the 2004 Community Development <br />Department Annual Activities Report. A general discussion ensued. <br /> <br />d. Development Projects for 2005 <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke discussed construction projects for 2005 that the staff is aware of (as of January <br />2005), including Twin Lakes, Franks, Rosedale, AMC and Har Mar, Northwest College Master Plan, <br />Stuart Anderson, Leased/sale of cars. <br /> <br />e. Work Program for 2005 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Dennis Welsch introduced the list of 2005 projects the <br />Commission had previously discussed. The Commission requested monthly outstanding item list of <br />these programs, with a theme of "Be Planful". More details on Rice Street Corridor, Traffic Studies, <br />and the role of a first ring suburb were requested. <br /> <br />Member Doherty will work with Chair Mulder to set up a series of small group meetings with the <br />Planning Commission members from other cities along the Rice Street corridor to determine what <br />has already been done. <br /> <br />The liquor store study was discussed, but determined no further action was needed at this time <br />except to determine if the Council discussed the issue in 2004. <br /> <br />More details on educational seminars will be prepared by staff and Scott Anderson. <br /> <br />Regarding traffic studies and discussion (scheduled for February Planning Commission meeting), <br />the commission requested more information on traffic counts (ADTs) over time; the growth in traffic <br />numbers, choke points; accident counts; service levels; when is traffic too much for a street or area; <br />what are the capacities of typical street types in Roseville; update on transit. <br /> <br />1. Planning File #3622: 2005 Ordinance Revising Planning Commission Terms and <br />Appointments, City Code, Section 201 <br /> <br />Dennis Welsch presented the proposed Draft Ordinance amending Chapter 201, Sections 203.03 <br />through 203.04, regarding Planning Commission terms and appointments. He requested comments <br />prior to submission to the City Council. <br />A general discussion ensued, but no action was required. <br /> <br />7. Information & Reports: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission, HRA and Community Development Brochures were distributed. <br /> <br />8.
