<br />Roseville Public Works and Transportation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />Thursday, December 16, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, Minnesota 55113 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.Introductions/Roll Call <br /> <br /> Commission members present: Mihai Marasteanu, Joe Rossini, Doug <br />Wilke and Ernest Willenbring. <br /> <br /> Commission members absent: Todd Anderson <br /> <br /> Staff present: Duane Schwartz, Public Works Director; Deb Bloom, City <br />Engineer <br /> <br /> Others present: Connie Barry and Jason Barry, Transtop; Gary Young, <br />Outdoor Promotions <br /> <br /> <br />2.Public Comments <br /> <br /> Al Sands, 2612 Aldine, spoke on the Oakcrest closure at Snelling Avenue. <br />He is opposed to the closure and wants a meeting with Mn/DOT personnel <br />to discuss the issue. He asked the Commission for support. <br /> <br /> Member Wilke asked Deb Bloom for comments on the subject. She said <br />that Mn/Dot wants to observe the situation, and a meeting could be set up <br />in the spring. Member Wilke suggested that a meeting be set up after the <br />first of the year to inform the residents of what’s going on and then have a <br />follow-up meeting in the spring to share additional information. Bloom <br />said she would share those thoughts with Frank Pafko at Mn/DOT. <br /> <br /> John Kysylyczyn, 3083 Victoria, spoke on the recycling information <br />presented to the Commission at the last meeting. <br /> <br /> Steve Baldwin, 2604 Aldine, spoke on the Oakcrest closure at Snelling <br />Avenue. He is opposed to the closure and is concerned about accessibility <br />in emergency situations.
