Anderson asked what the percentage of federal money was for the project.
Schwartz said originally it was about 80% of the construction costs.

Schwartz also mentioned that during the previous night’s City Council
meeting a resident spoke about personal rapid transit. Schwartz said he
has a video on the subject if anyone is interested in viewing it.

Schwartz said that the Home and Garden Show is February 26 at the
Fairview Community Center. A table has been reserved for the
Commission if they’re interested. Member Wilke said he was there last
year and had quite a few questions. Members Willenbring and Wilke said
they could be there. Member Anderson said he needed to check his
schedule.

Schwartz said that Doug Wilke was reappointed for another term.
Member Rossini has declined another term so an opening will be
advertised.

Schwartz said that at the Council meeting last night the Council voted to
go ahead with the agreement with Transtop so now the Commission needs
to relook at possible shelter sites and shelter designs and make some
recommendations.

Member Wilke and Duane Schwartz talked about the meeting for the
Oakcrest information meeting that was held by Councilmember Tom
Kough.

5.Update/Results on Transportation Discussion with City Council on 01/24/05

Duane Schwartz briefed the Commission on the discussion at the Council
meeting. Specific projects, as well as general situations, were discussed.
The main issue for traffic projects is funding, there isn’t enough money for
everything that needs to be done.

Member Willenbring asked if there was any mention of new mass transit.
Schwartz said there was but nothing that affects Roseville.

6. South Owasso Blvd/Ladyslipper Park Concepts

Duane Schwartz presented various design options for the development of
this area. Member Willenbring thought Concept #3 would be the safest.
He doesn’t advocate keeping Matilda and Galtier Streets open. Member
Wilke said that Concept #3 forces people to use County Road C-2, which
is a non-signalized intersection, instead of using West Owasso, which has
a signal.

Schwartz said that he just wanted to introduce this project to the
Commission. It will be back in February as a topic.
