Bolander and Sons, one of the greatest customers ever in the history of the <br />J.L. Shiely Company; and he is extremely well respected, not only by <br />Bolander and Sons when he was there, respected by many suppliers and <br />include industry members in the construction industry as well. I want it to <br />be read into the record that I’ve had no business transactions with Mr. <br />Willenbring, his representatives, his heirs and assigns, any law firms <br />representing Mr. Willenbring. I have not met with, discussed, <br />communicated through representatives of either party any matters that <br />have come before this committee prior to this time or any future items that <br />may come to this body in the future with Mr. Willenbring, his heirs and/or <br />assigns. The City of Roseville is blessed to have such a knowledgeable <br />industry professional donate his time for the community good; and I’m <br />honored to serve with such an outstanding, well-respected individual.” <br /> <br /> Member Wilke asked for a motion to approve the April minutes. <br /> <br /> Member Shiely said he had some changes. The last sentence of the third <br />paragraph on Page 3 stated “He thinks there should be double-sided signs <br />before each intersection.” and he wanted it to say “He postulates there <br />should be double-sided signs on the roadway between intersections.” <br /> <br /> Member Marasteanu moved to approve the minutes of April 25, 2005, of <br />the Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission with the <br />above change. Member Fischer seconded. <br /> <br /> Ayes: 5 <br /> Nays: 0 <br /> Motion carried <br /> <br /> <br />4.Communications Items <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />5.South Owasso Street Reconstruction Design Considerations <br /> <br /> Deb Bloom, City Engineer, presented some issues that are coming up in <br />the development of the plans. <br /> <br /> Member Sheily asked if driveway reconstruction was part of the <br />assessment cost. Bloom said what is necessary to the road construction is <br />part of the assessment. Anything requested by the resident over that is <br />paid for by that resident 100%. <br /> <br /> Member Sheily asked what percent of the funds for the project comes <br />from governments other than Roseville. Schwartz said that depends on the <br />project. Member Sheily asked on this specific project what the percentage <br />was. Schwartz said it hasn’t been determined yet.
