Introductions/Roll Call <br /> <br />Commission members present: Todd Anderson, Mihai Marasteanu, <br />Joseph Rossini, Ernest Willenbring, Doug Wilke <br /> <br />Staff present: Duane Schwartz, Public Works Director; Frank Gaillard, <br />Public Works Superintendent; Steve Zweber, Streets Supervisor; Tim <br />Pratt, Recycling Coordinator <br /> <br />2. Public Comments <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />3. Communication Items <br /> <br />Anderson questioned where these items came from. Duane explained that <br />the mayor e-mailed articles he thought were of interest. <br /> <br />Schwartz commented on the County Road C project that the Council has <br />directed us to look into burying the power lines and has asked Xcel to <br />replace the lattice poles with new more attractive poles, the cost of which <br />would be assessed to the users. Willenbring asked if they factor in the <br />cost ofless maintenance. Schwartz responded that Xcel isn't a big <br />champion of burying. They assess the difference of the city moving <br />versus burying, and we'd have to inquire about maintenance cost <br />difference. <br /> <br />4. Approval of August Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Member Anderson moved to approve the minutes of August 22, 2002, of <br />the Public Works/Transportation Commission. Member Rossini <br />seconded. <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />
