<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR COMPREHENSIVE RECYCLING SERVICES <br />TO ALL RESIDENTIAL SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSEHOLDS <br />AND MULTI-UNIT HOUSEHOLDS <br /> <br />I. INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />These specifications define the requirements of the Comprehensive <br />Recycling Program for the City of Roseville. For the purpose of these <br />specifications, the City of Rose vi lie has identified 9,303 Residential <br />Dwelling Units, defined as single-family households, duplexes, triplexes, <br />fourplexes, and townhomes. These units will be serviced as Residential <br />Dwelling Units (RDU), as specified herein. The City has identified 6,786 <br />additional Multi-Unit Dwellings (MUD), defined as units in 5 or more unit <br />buildings and mobile home parks. These units will be serviced as multi- <br />units, as specified herein. <br /> <br />II. SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />1. Contractor Service Requirements <br /> <br />The Contractor agrees to provide comprehensive recycling services <br />described herein and as described in the Proposal and Exhibit A <br />"Garbage and Recycling Collection Zones" map. <br /> <br />2. Collection Vehicle Equipment Requirements <br /> <br />All collection vehicles used in perfornlance of the Contract shall be <br />duly licensed and inspected by the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />Each collection vehicle shall be equipped with the following: <br /> <br />a) Two-way radio <br />b) First aid kit <br />c) An approved 2A I OBC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher <br />d) Warning flashers <br />e) Warning alarms to indicate movement in reverse <br />f) Sigos on the rear of the vehicle which states "This Vehicle <br />Makes Frequent Stops" <br />g) A broom and shovel for cleaning up spills <br /> <br />7 <br />
