<br />g) Monitor for any spillage and be responsible for cleaning up <br />any litter or breakage <br /> <br />h) Avoid damage to property. <br /> <br />i) Not perform their duties or operate vehicles while consuming <br />alcohol or illegally using controlled substances or while under <br />the influence of alcohol and/or such substances. <br /> <br />4. Publicity, Promotion, and Education <br /> <br />The Contractor and the Recycling Coordinator shall work together in <br />the preparation and distribution of educational materials to insure <br />accurate information and program directions. Contractor shall pay <br />for the design and printing of a curbside program brochure for <br />distribution to all certified RDUs in April of each year during the <br />term of the contract. City and Contractor staff will develop the <br />brochure. The Contractor will provide and pay for 10,000 copies of <br />the brochure. The City will be responsible for the cost of mailing the <br />brochure to all certified RDUs. The Contractor will also be required <br />to provide annually a one-page flyer and a collection calendar for the <br />City to distribute to the owners of the MDUs. <br /> <br />Contractor shall demonstrate commitment to the promotion of <br />responsible waste management through participation in community <br />events, for example, by providing collection opportunity for <br />recyclables at City-wide Cleanup events. <br /> <br />5. Recvcline: Containers <br />The City of Roseville will make recycling containers available for <br />community residents. Recycling containers shall not be a prerequisite <br />to participation in the curbside recycling program. Other container <br />types such as kraft grocery bags, boxes, and bins are acceptable to <br />the extent that route drivers readily recognize recyclables. In areas <br />with single-stream recycling contractor agrees to, at their expense, <br />purchase, deliver, service and repair, and maintain sufficient cart <br />inventory to meet supply and demand needs for the program. <br /> <br />Contractors shall provide 90-gallon containers for all MUD's, to be <br />placed in centralized locations that are clearly marked with text and <br />graphics for which of the "Acceptable Materials" it would be <br />appropriate to place in that container, in sufficient quantity to <br />adequately contain the materials between weekly collections. <br /> <br />9 <br />
