<br />12. Collection Hours <br /> <br />The Contractor shall comply with all City Ordinances for collection <br />within a residential district. <br /> <br />Contractor shall maintain sufficient equipment and personnel to <br />assure that all collection operations are completed by 6:00 p.m. on <br />the scheduled collection day. <br /> <br />13. Cleanup Responsibilities <br /> <br />Contractor shall adequately clean up any materials spilled or blown <br />during the course of collection and/or hauling operations. Any <br />unacceptable materials left behind should be secured within <br />resident's recycling container, if provided. Driver shall take all <br />precautions possible to prevent littering of unacceptable recyclables. <br />All collection vehicles shall be equipped with at least one broom and <br />one shovel for use in cleaning up material spillage. Contractor shall <br />have no responsibility to remove or clean up any items that are not <br />recyclable materials. <br /> <br />14. Missed Collection Policy & Procedures <br /> <br />Contractor shall have a duty to pick up missed collections. <br />Contractor agrees to pick up all missed collections on the same day <br />that the Contractor receives notice of a missed collection, provided <br />notice is received by Contractor before I I :00 a.m. on a business day. <br />With respect to all notices of a missed collection received after 11:00 <br />a.m. on a business day, Contractor agrees to pick up that missed <br />collection before 6:00 p.m. on the business day immediately <br />following. <br /> <br />Contractor shall provide staffing of a telephone-equipped office to <br />receive missed collection complaints between the hours of7:30 a.m.- <br />5:00 p.m. on weekdays, except holidays and on Saturdays during <br />weeks in which a holiday has delayed pickup in the Friday zone until <br />Saturday. The Contractor shall have an answering machine or voice <br />mail system activated to receive phone calls after hours. Contractor <br />shall keep a log of all calls, including the subject matter, the date and <br />time received, the Contractor's response, and the date and time of <br />response. This information shall be provided to the City in a monthly <br />report. <br /> <br />13 <br />
