5. County Road B and Snelling Intersection ln1provements as Proposed

Deb Bloom presented information on the intersection and possible
improvements. The City has been working with the county and state for
the past three years to improve this intersection. ln1provements would
include widening Snelling from Ryan to the Hwy 36 ramps, including an
additional through lane, right turn lanes, frontage road closure, and closing
the Conoco driveway. The Target store is also looking at redesigning their
site by building a new store facing Co Rd B. They've asked that the City
vacate State Farm Road, which runs behind their site.

Commissioner Anderson asked how businesses in the area have reacted to
proposed plans. Bloom said some ofthem are happy with the current
frontage road.

Commissioner Marasteanu suggested that some ofthe fast food restaurants
talk to Target and consolidate locations to reduce traffic problems. Bloom
said that there will be some restaurants moving into the front of the Target
site but that the restaurants on Snelling do very well in that location and
would probably not want to move.

6.
