<br />Anderson asked what the percentage of federal money was for the project. <br />Schwartz said originally it was about 80% of the construction costs. <br /> <br />Schwartz also mentioned that during the previous night's City Council <br />meeting a resident spoke about personal rapid transit. Schwartz said he <br />has a video on the subject if anyone is interested in viewing it. <br /> <br />Schwartz said that the Home and Garden Show is February 26 at the <br />Fairview Community Center. A table has been reserved for the <br />Commission if they're interested. Member Wilke said he was there last <br />year and had quite a few questions. Members Willenbring and Wilke said <br />they could be there. Member Anderson said he needed to check his <br />schedule. <br /> <br />Schwartz said that Doug Wilke was reappointed for another term. <br />Member Rossini has declined another term so an opening will be <br />advertised. <br /> <br />Schwartz said that at the Council meeting last night the Council voted to <br />go ahead with the agreement with Transtop so now the Commission needs <br />to relook at possible shelter sites and shelter designs and make some <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />Member Wilke and Duane Schwartz talked about the meeting for the <br />Oakcrest information meeting that was held by Councilmember Tom <br />Kough. <br /> <br />5. Update/Results on Transportation Discussion with City Council on 01/24/05 <br /> <br />Duane Schwartz briefed the Commission on the discussion at the Council <br />meeting. Specific projects, as well as general situations, were discussed. <br />The main issue for traffic projects is funding, there isn't enough money for <br />everything that needs to be done. <br /> <br />Member Willenbring asked if there was any mention of new mass transit. <br />Schwartz said there was but nothing that affects Roseville. <br /> <br />6. South Owasso BlvdlLadyslipper Park Concepts <br /> <br />Duane Schwartz presented various design options for the development of <br />this area. Member Willenbring thought Concept #3 would be the safest. <br />He doesn't advocate keeping Matilda and Galtier Streets open. Member <br />Wilke said that Concept #3 forces people to use County Road C-2, which <br />is a non-signalized intersection, instead of using West Owasso, which has <br />a signal. <br /> <br />Schwartz said that he just wanted to introduce this project to the <br />Commission.
