<br />City of Roseville - Planning Commission Minutes for January 4, 2006http://www.ci.roseville.mn.us/council/planning/minutes/2006/pm0104.htm <br />C ITY C OUNCIL <br />City of Roseville <br />Planning Commission Meeting <br />Wednesday, January 4, 2006 <br />1.Call to Order <br />Chair Mark Traynor called the January 4, 2006 regular meeting of the City of Roseville Planning Commission to <br />order at 6:30 PM in the Roseville City Hall Council Chambers. <br />2.Welcome, Roll Call <br />Present: Bakeman, Doherty, Wozniak, Traynor <br />Absent: White, Boerigter, (vacancy due to Pust election) <br />Staff present: Thomas Paschke, Dennis Welsch, Deb Bloom <br />3.Approval of Minutes <br />Motion: Member Bakeman moved, seconded by Member Doherty to approve minutes of December 7, <br />2005, with typographic corrections. Member Doherty asked if PF 3680 should reflect the member(s) <br />voting opposed. (Only on roll call votes are members identified.) <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Abstain: 0 <br />Motion carried: 4-0 <br />4.Communications from the Public <br />a.From the Public: none <br />b.From Commission: Mary Bakeman, Chair of the Variance Board presented the annual Variance Board <br />report for 2005 to the Commission, noting that 25 of 28 variance requests in 2005 were held by the <br />Variance Board. She noted that setback permits (21) were similar to past years and are handled by staff. <br />Sign variances were higher, reflecting the need to update the Sign Code. She thanked the Board <br />members and the staff for work in 2005. <br />5.Public Hearings <br />a.Planning File 3699: Jon Forman request for a MINOR SUBDIVISION of a 1.21 acre parcel into <br />three parcels and to request a 15 foot variance for corner lot front from100 feet to 85 feet, located <br />at 2161 County Road B. <br />Chair Traynor opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke and Dennis Welsch to <br />provide a verbal summary of the project report dated January 4, 2006. Mr. Welsch explained that the <br />Forman parcel, 2161 County Road C is located at the northwest corner of County Road B and Acorn <br />feet of frontage on Acorn Road. It has one existing home (the Forman House) situated near the mid point <br />of the parcel. The Forman House is set back approximately 100 feet from County Road B and <br />approximately 90 feet from Acorn Road. The parcel is surrounded by single family one and two story <br />homes that are located on parcels of many different sizes ranging from 20,900 s.f. to 30,000 s.f. <br />1 of 83/13/2006 8:52 AM <br /> <br />
