<br />City of Roseville - Planning Commission Minutes for February 1, 2006http://www.ci.roseville.mn.us/council/planning/minutes/2006/pm0201.htm <br />C ITY C OUNCIL <br />City of Roseville <br />Planning Commission Meeting <br />Wednesday, February 1, 2006 <br />1.Call to Order <br />Chair Mark Traynor called the February 1, 2006 regular meeting of the City of Roseville Planning Commission <br />to order at 6:30 PM in the Roseville City Hall Council Chambers. <br />2.Welcome, Roll Call <br />Present: Bakeman, Doherty, Wozniak, Traynor, White, Boerigter <br />Absent: (vacancy due to Pust election) <br />Staff present: Thomas Paschke, Dennis Welsch <br />3.Approval of Minutes <br />Motion: Member Bakeman moved, seconded by Member Doherty to approve minutes of January 4, <br />2006, with typographic corrections. <br />Ayes: 6 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Abstain: 0 <br />Motion carried: 6-0 <br />4.Communications from the Public <br />a.From the Public: none <br />b.From Commission: none <br />5.Public Hearings <br />a.Planning File 3663: Ramsey County Public Health Department request for a 5 year extension of <br />their existing INTERIM USE PERMIT relating to their household hazardous waste site at the <br />Chair Traynor opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke to provide a verbal <br />summary of the proposed project based on the staff report dated February 1, 2006 For this item Member <br />Wozniak recused himself from the Commission table and discussion. <br />Mr. Paschke explained that Minnesota Law requires metropolitan communities to provide for the <br />collection of HHW, for which Ramsey County has provided said collection service to County residents <br />since September 1991. In Roseville there has been a satellite site located along the 1700 block of Kent <br />Street since 1992. <br />In July of 1992 the City of Roseville granted Ramsey County a two-year IUP that allowed HHW collection <br />to occur during September and October of 1992 and 1993. The City granted another two-year IUP for the <br />site in July of 1994 and HHW collection took place during September and October of 1994 and 1995. In <br />May of 1996 the City granted Ramsey County a five-year IUP and the site has operated one or two <br />month-long periods each year since 1996. In May 14, 2001, the City Council approved a 5 year IUP, <br />1 of 94/3/2006 11:54 AM <br /> <br />
