City of Roseville - Variance Board Minutes for April 7, 2004Page 1 of 3 C C ITYOUNCIL City of Roseville Variance Board Meeting Wednesday, April 7, 2004 1.Call to Order Acting Chair Stone called the meeting of the City of Roseville Variance Board to order at 5:05 PM, in the City Hall Council Chambers. 2.Roll Call Present: Stone, Blank, Bakeman, Mulder (joined later) Absent: None Staff present: Thomas Paschke, Dennis Welsch 3.Approval of Minutes None (first meeting) 4.Public Hearings a.Planning File 3554: Request by Steve Hanon for a Variance to Section 1004.01A6 and 1004.01E of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of an addition on to the existing attached garage and driveway. Acting Chair Remi Stone opened the hearing and requested Thomas Paschke provide a verbal summary of the request. City Planner Thomas Paschke advised that Steve Hanon was seeking approval of a 304 sq. ft. Variance to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total Surface Area) and a 2 foot, 1 inch Variance to Section (Exception) of the Roseville City Code to allow an expansion of an existing attached garage and driveway at 2458 Sheldon Street. Mr. Paschke further indicated that Steve Hanon proposed to construct a 4 foot wide by 32 foot long addition on to the north (side yard) of his existing attached garage; a 6 foot wide by 20 foot long addition on to the west (front yard) of his existing attached garage (total addition 248 sq. ft.); and a small expansion (north side) to the existing driveway. He explained the predominant setback on a pre-developed block and lot coverage. He noted two letters of objection (Martin Carson, 2459 Sheldon and Harold and Connie Huber, 2466 Sheldon).
