What can we do today to influ- <br />ence in a positive way the quality of life for Roseville residents years <br />from now? What strategic planning have we done? Do we have a <br />clear vision of what a successful future looks like for Roseville? Are <br />we measuring and evaluating our progress toward achieving that <br />better future? <br /> <br />Remember, as a city we are in "the forever business." Cities have <br />been one of the most enduring forms of social organization, going <br />back thousands of years. If we continually revitalize our community, <br />the City of Roseville will be here scores of years from now, in one <br />form or another. It is up to us to see that the City doesn't just survive <br />but thrives in the future, serving its residents' needs in the most effec- <br />tive and efficient manner possible. <br /> <br />6. Campaign Contributions <br />Currently, Minnesota state law <br />limits personal contributions to <br />candidates for the City Council <br />to $100 in non-election years and <br />$300 in an election year. Recently, the City Council <br />enacted an ordinance requiring Council <br />candidates to disclose certain information about <br />persons contributing in the aggregate more than <br />$50 to a candidate in a one year period.
