<br />Attachment B <br />Recyclable Materials Composition Protocol <br /> <br />Planning & Equipment/Facilities Preparation <br /> <br />1. Notify Drivers and Operators <br /> <br />Confmn all logistics, schedules, roles, and responsibilities with affected individuals <br />after receiving approval from their management (e.g., Waste Management (WM) <br />drivers and City Public Works Department (PWD) skid-steer operator). <br /> <br />2. Secure All Equipment and Facilities <br /> <br />Secure commitments for all equipment (see Attachment A,"Sort Equipment Checklist). <br />Note that appropriate lead-time will be needed for approval, receipt and training for <br />the operation of the: (a) City Police Department portable truck scale; and (2) the OEA <br />platform scale. Appropriate lead-time will also be need for request, approval, and <br />delivery of necessary roll-off boxes and 90-gallon carts from WM. We recommend <br />the City ask WM to deliver roll-off boxes that are at least 40-yards in capacity. <br /> <br />3. Prepare City PWD Salt Shed <br /> <br />Sweep and barricade (if necessary) the City's salt shed within the PWD yard. Identify <br />designated sorting area and platform scale station area (removed from any vehicle <br />traffic). Provide electrical power extension cords and cord protectors (if needed) for <br />platform scale. <br /> <br />4. Set-Up Equipment <br /> <br />Arrange for delivery and positioning of roll-off boxes, 90-gallon carts, truck scale, and <br />platform scale. <br /> <br />5.
