<br />Attachment B <br /> <br />Truck Weighing & Load Tipping Operations <br /> <br />The truck weigJUng and load tipping procedures written herein are for the maximum <br />work effort for the BEFORE "two-sort' Monday pilot routes (i.e., two trucks). Most <br />pilot routes will be collected by one truck, one route per day. <br /> <br />1 sl truck <br /> <br />1. Direct first truck onto (portable Police Dept.) truck scale <br /> <br />Record truck'TOTAr' gross weight on data sheet (see Attachment C,'Thta SheetS) [to <br />come]. <br /> <br />2. Direct truck to tip first category [either fiber or containers] into back of <br />salt shed <br /> <br />Note load type, location in shed, and any unique characteristics (e.g., safety hazards) <br />on data sheet. <br /> <br />3. Tarp load <br />Tarp the load (if needed) to keep separate from the second truck. <br /> <br />4. Direct first truck back to truck scale <br /> <br />Record truck"SUBTOTAr'weight on data sheet. <br /> <br />5. Direct first truck to tip second category into back of shed <br /> <br />Note load type, location in shed, and any unique characteristics (e.g., safety hazards) <br />on data sheet. <br /> <br />6. Tarp load <br />Tarp the load (if needed) to keep separate from the second truck. <br /> <br />7. Direct first truck back to truck scale <br /> <br />Record empty'TARE'weight on data sheet. <br /> <br />2ND truck <br /> <br />Repeat steps # 1 through #7 above as needed for 2nd truck (and for next day's <br />trucks/routes if multi-day storage is required). <br /> <br />We recommend directing the 2nd truck driver to tip away from the 1" truck loads, <br />leaving some space between the piles. Also, direct the 2nd truck driver to tip the"papel" <br />load near the 1" truck's'bontainel" pile to help differentiate piles if they get close and <br />start commingling. <br /> <br />B-2 R. W.
