Adopted:
Unaccounted-for = finished - (metered + district use). This water would include
unmetered water for City use, fire protection, main breaks, maintenance, line leakage,
and meter under-registration. Programs
The Utility will implement short-term demand reduction measures described in part II,
Section H.

The remainder of this section examines long-term measures.

Metering
All accounts are metered in The City of Roseville's Water Utility system. Most meters
are read from a remote reader without entering homes.

Testing and replacement of meters is done primarily on a metered consumption basis.
Priority is given to meters registering larger consumption. Meters are replaces as
deemed necessary. Large meters are tested at 5 -10 year intervals.

Water Rates
Roseville uses a flat rate structure. A copy is included in Appendix E.

Distribution System, Leak Detection, and Repairs
The City closely monitors water pumping and consumption. Any suspect leakage is
checked and pinpointed for repair. Repairs of leaks and broken mains are done as early
as practicable after discovery. With aggressive leak detection and repair, the City will
reduce our unaccounted-for water and water losses in generaL
