<br />The City of Roseville currently has a long term contract for the purchase of wholesale <br />treated water with the City of St. Paul. The City supports protection of source efforts by <br />St. Paul alternating sources may be explored to be re-negotiation of the existing contract <br />prior to expiration. <br />SECTION F. Problems and Potential Solutions <br />The elements contained in Section 1. D. fulfill the requirements of this section. <br /> <br />SECTION G. Wellhead Protection Program <br />As the City of Roseville does not product its own water or own wells, a wellhead <br />protection program is not required. When deemed appropriate, The City of Roseville is <br />willing to cooperate with efforts to protect wells of surrounding communities. <br /> <br />SECTION H. Implementation Program <br />The City of Roseville is committed to implement the following measures: <br /> <br />· No sustained increase in capita water consumption. <br /> <br />· Implement an aggressive public education program including making water <br />conservation literature available to residents. <br /> <br />· Make special public education efforts to increase efficiency of lawn sprinkling by <br />infonning residents of the inefficiency of lawn sprinkling between 10 a.m. and 7 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />· Make an effort to identify and replace inaccurate meters by checks of several <br />randomly selected older meters from throughout the City. <br /> <br />· Ensure the ability to establish and implement emergency water rates when <br /> <br />necessary. <br /> <br />· Annually review unaccounted-for water records and identify and address any <br />significant increases. <br /> <br />Official Controls <br />Current ordinances and regulations used to achieve objectives and components of the <br />water supply plan include the sprinkling (including other non-essential use) bans <br />discussed in Section II.D.2, for short-term demand reductions. Potential measures for <br />achieving long term conservation, which primarily involve improving water use <br />efficiencies, are presented in Section III. <br /> <br />Page 15 of 22 <br />
