Questions for the Roseville Public Works, Environment, and Transportation Commission
April 25

By Randy Neprash

1. Do we wish to recommend that Roseville adopt an ordinance providing for the minimum
warning sign as per MN Statute 18B09 Subd. 3?

2. Do we wish to request that staff draft a City policy document similar to Shoreview's on the
risks and City use of pesticides?

3. Do we wish to pursue City licensure of commercial pesticide applicators (see l8B.33 (pg 33)
and City Code Chapter 408)? With City licensure, the City could set and enforce warning and
notification provisions. Do we wish to ask the City Attorney to request clarification from the
MN Attorney General's office as to whether the City has the authority to license commercial
pesticide applicators?

4. Do we wish to provide additional information on the spacing of warning signs where the
statute is silent? The statute is silent on the subject of the spacing or location of warning
signs relative to property entrances and/or corners. Do we wish to ask the City Attorney to
request clarification from the MN Attorney General's office as to whether the City has the
authority to provide such additional information?
