He suggested Gary Gorman of the State <br />Department of Human Rights could come to talk about <br />the no-fault grievance training. He also suggested we <br />could have a working meeting to develop pUblic service <br />announcements regarding the Human Rights Commission. <br />It was suggested the Commission take a look at the <br />Bloomington Commission's public service announcements <br />first, to see if we can use them. <br /> <br />Zielske also suggested the Commission may wish to <br />invite a speaker to talk about AIDS, and the potential <br />discrimination of AIDS victims. It was suggested that <br />the State Commissioner of Human Rights be asked about <br />the State's position on AIDS discrimination at the <br />January meeting. <br /> <br />G. Zielske indicated he attended Human Rights Day, and <br />heard three excellent speakers. The theme of the <br />conference was Affirmative Action Makes Good Business <br />Sense. Another part of the conference included a <br />workshop on legislative concerns such as handicapped <br />access, a rise in crimes against the disabled and the <br />elderly, and the accountability of group homes. <br /> <br />H. Zielske reiterated a suggestion that church news- ( <br />letters be used to provide public education regarding <br />the no-fault grievance process. <br /> <br />I. Zielske suggested the February meeting could be used <br />to discuss the format of the Human Rights Brochure, <br />and that the March meeting be used to elect a new <br />chairperson, since Zielske will be going off the <br />Commission in April. <br /> <br />II. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 1986, <br />at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be a joint meeting with <br />other Commissions, with the State Commissioner of Human <br />Rights being the guest speaker. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />I <br />,~ <br />
